My Last Holiday

Oh, I just had my holiday! Do you want to hear it? Here's my story!

 My Holiday to Garut

I had my last holiday right after I had finished learning as a tenth grader for the first 6 months. But instead of going out for a vacation, I spent most of my time at home. I went to school sometimes, too. Due to that, my last holiday was really different with my previous ones. I didn’t think that my holiday was boring, though. In fact, I enjoyed it a lot, especially in the last day of my holiday.

It was Saturday, January 10th. I just went home from school in the evening. I was really tired, so I decided to lie down on my bed and chat with my friends. Suddenly, my mother knocked the door and went in, causing me to sit properly due to shock. She then told me that she had planned to go to Garut with my dad and my siblings. They wanted to go to the hot spring. She asked me whether if I want to come. I was really tired, but I really wanted to come with them. Therefore, I accepted. She reminded me to prepare all my stuffs for the occasion before leaving my room again. Instead of preparing my stuffs, I decided to go to bed and do it in the early morning.


I woke up at 3 o’clock in the next morning. Just as I had planned, I quickly gathered my things and put them in my little backpack. I also took a shower and had my breakfast. My siblings also did the same while my father and mother were preparing their needs. We went to Garut by car at half past 4. Since it was a long way, my siblings and I fell asleep along the way.

As we arrived in Garut, we quickly got off the car and went to the spring. It was a bit crowded, so we barely could get a parking lot. Good thing we finally got one, even though it was a bit far from the spring.

We all spent a great time in the spring. My mother took her time to relax in the hot water. My sister and brother played and splashed the water everywhere. I was dragged into their games. I didn’t really enjoy the hot water, since I despised the heat. But my siblings made me laugh all the way, so I couldn’t help but share the fun. My father didn’t get into the water a lot, but his sincere smile showed that he also had a good time.

We spent about one and a half hour in the spring. The spring got a lot more crowded each minute, so we decided to leave and find something to eat. We found a traditional restaurant around. We barely eat lunch together at home, so that was a really great time for us. The food was also delicious, different with the food we had at home, obviously.

After we had lunch, we went back home to Bandung. We wanted to spend more time in Garut, but my parents had work to do. They were really busy! Not to mention my sister and I had school to attend in the next day. Due to that reason, we all went home and prepared for the next day.

That is my story, guys! What do you think? Sorry that I have no pictures or videos or whatever to show you. Since it was a spring I had visited, cameras and other electronic devices could be damaged if  it got wet or thrown into the spring.
